Hi, I’m Montserrat Armesto, a pedagogue and child neuropsychologist with specialized training in positive and gentle parenting.
I’ve worked with families from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Argentina, and Peru, supporting children through emotional and developmental transitions.
I firmly believe that when we truly see children for who they are, not who we want them to be, and give them space to grow without imposing adult expectations, they develop stronger emotional foundations for life. Today, we hear so much about how childhood shapes adulthood and how many adults spend years trying to “heal” what they didn’t receive early on. That reality deeply informs my work.
I started Totters because I wanted to help create a different path. One where children grow up with supportive systems, emotionally aware adults, and environments that allow them to thrive from the beginning, not recover later.
Fun fact: when I’m not working, you’ll probably find me treasure hunting in vintage and thrift markets, spending time with my cats, swimming, walking in nature, or writing.
